Development thinkers as will as
communication professionals will get an insight on the portrayal
of health and development aspects in Bangladesh for the first
time in this book. The complicated and challenging areas that
deserve a fresh approach to address and disseminate among
the professionals of media and communications have been discussed
in different chapters. There are not many studies done or
available in this specialised area of communication in the
country and there in no book published so far on the subject
in this region. In this backdrop this book will serve the
study on an emerging area of communication in a developing
country. Public service information, especially, on health
is yet to get a special attention in the country. A national
communication campaign strategy on a development and health
issue like arsenic is brought under a separate part in this
volume. Because of lack of proper attention in our national
activities the researcher has investigated the issues with
devotion and put together the findings in this volume.
